Northern Cinnamon Teal

Cinnamon Teal taking off from the water in Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park

The Northern Cinnamon Teal is a duck that is native to the western regions of North America. This teal was seen lifting off from the water in Hayden Valley in Yellowstone National Park.

Male and Female Northern Cinnamon Teals The Cinnamon Teal joins the whistling-ducks and Ruddy Ducks as being the only ducks that breed in both in North and South America. Yes, teals are ducks.
Cinnamon Teal migrate early in the fall. So they tend not to have a significant number lost during the northern waterfowl hunting season. Cinnamon Teal feeding
