Rustic Falls
Description
- Type: Plunge/Horsetail/Fan
- Height: 47 feet
- Stream: Glen Creek
- Name, origin: Park Superintendent P. W. Norris named this falls in 1879.1
- Fun Facts: I have seen mountain goats in the hills above these falls. They were a family unit with a young one. It was fun watching them for several weeks before they moved on. Check out a picture of the mountain goat father and baby here. In the late spring early summer, look for white marks on the side of the cliff. That could indicate the nest of a raven family.
- Hike: No hike is required; the fall is beside the road.
- Location: Located south of Mammoth, on the east side of the road in the Golden Gate area.
